"Shoppy allows you to concentrate on one thing – your grocery list" - iphoneincanada.ca

• Simplicity
Have you tried grocery shopping apps on your iPhone and felt that they get in your way? Each update with even more features, adding to the clutter. If so, you have come to the right place: Shoppy will help you with your grocery shopping without getting in the way. Think "good old-fashioned paper list" but in the 21st century. We strive to keep the app clean and simple yet beautiful.

• Relevance
Shoppy makes it easy to add grocery items instead of coming preloaded with hundreds of them, for the simple reason that everyone has different needs and habits. Simply add your own items as you go along. Shoppy also doesnt use categories or multiple lists, it focuses on making your grocery shopping a breeze.

• Smarts
When you go shopping, Shoppy automatically learns the order you pick up items in the store and shows them in the right order the next time youre shopping.

• Share the Load
If you share the grocery shopping duties with a partner, you can easily send the grocery list to each other. The list can be read as a regular email or easily imported into your partners Shoppy. You can also send the list as a text message.

• Piece of Paper
If you need to scribble down some reminders, there is even room on the backside of the list for notes - just like that old-fashioned grocery list, made out of a small piece of paper.

Pros and cons of Shoppy ~ Groceries app for iPhone and iPad

Shoppy ~ Groceries app good for

This is a really good, really simple shopping list app. The best Ive seen so far. The only down side is that you cannot run multiple lists at the same time. You are limited to having only one list. Other than that, its a great app!!
I have used ShopShop since the App Store opened as my shopping list manager. I never thought anything would replace it until Shoppy came along. I love the clean and classy looking UI that is easy on the eyes and the way the app remembers the order in which you buy things. Next time you populate the list with the same items it arranges them in the exact order. Brilliant! Other apps are bloated and will have you spending more time working with the app than the actual time it takes to buy the items. This is the best I have seen and the smartest way to execute such an app. I would like to see a larger text entry box and the ability to run more than one list at a time. Even though the app arranges things from memory and is very workable, it would be nice to have. This app deserves a design award from !
Great little shopping list app - I use it all the time. I particularly like the way that it learns the layout of your favourite grocery stores, and keeps them separate, so that it can organize your list in a relevant order for whatever store you happen to go into on a given day. The feature that allows you to mail lists to other people seems like it might be really great, but for one problem - my wife doesnt have an iPhone, so we cant use it. If there was a way that Shoppy could import a CSV file or something so that you could send a list from a spreadsheet into Shoppy, that would make things even better.
Love the KISS design. Have used others and dismissed them. This looks like a keeper!!!! I, too, would like to see the ability to create lists for different stores.
love this app, the one thing missing is the ability to separate my list by stores. I buy different product from different stores but when I select in the different stores that I have set up, it still gives me 1 list and I cant recall from which store Im supposed to get the product. I want this ; Store 1 - product a - product b Store 2 - product c - product d Store 3 - product e - product f Etc...
Shoppy works well, and the customer service is good too. I enquired about having multiple stores with different lists by email and they got back to me within a couple of days. They told me to group my items for different stores together and then go to those stores in the order if the groupings. For example, if I needed to go to both the liquor store and the butcher then my grocery list would look like: Night train Courvoisier Jagermeister Beef hearts Sausages Lamb chops I would buy all my booze then go get my meat. This is kind of a bulls$17 workaround, but it doesnt detract from the fact that this App does work very well for one store. If you buy this app, and you want the functionality of multiple stores then email them and grind their gears about it. Maybe theyll pull their fingers out and add it.

Some bad moments

Ive been looking for a straightforward, simple list app since the App Store started. Ive allllmost got it. Shoppy has: Saved items Extra notes fields when you need them Quantity fields (useful for when you need to make sure you get all 10oz of whatever) Decent-looking interface Shoppy does not have: Prices (useless for New Yorkers) Priorities (useless for just groceries) Due dates (ditto) Ads Stupid graphics Shoppy needs: A way to divide items into stores. I can add stores but cant create lists for each one? Seems weird, as Id like to also add pharmacies and hardware stores, etc. and dont want screwdrivers listed next to bread. A slightly more decent-looking interface- thats one thing I still like about some of the more robust apps like 2Do- its prettier and more customizable. For 99 cents, totally worth it if youre looking for the middle ground between plain old Apple Notes and turbo nutrition calculating, category tagging, price adding, ad-saturated crApps. Keep the updates coming!
This app has been perfect. We purchase groceries only twice a month and this app makes it perfect. Most grocery trips are similar, so the fact that it remembers the order is awesome!
Simple, clean, and quick interface. Doesnt try to do everything. Allows you to maintain a list so you can scroll through selecting what you need, then jump back to the need list and shop away. Easy check off, CLEAN list, and excellent sorting. IF you want, allows you to easily add quantities or notes. Author/Programmer does an excellent job of keeping the extras out of the way and at the same time making them easy to access. As I said before - Perfect Grocery List.
Great app. The best shopping list app si far. It is simple and highly effective!
My list, above all, needed to be sorted by aisle to minimize my shopping time in the stores I frequent. This app has a clever solution: one list, organized or reorganized if need be, by the store I select. It even learnt the aisle arrangement automatically.
Perfect for a simple no-frills grocery list. Love everything about it.
